As part of the continuing push for Elite Education Institute’s students to maximize opportunities for practical learning, networking and exposure to industry Dr. Paul Howe, Director of Professional Education took a group of 27 students to the Australian Stock Exchange. The ASX and Financial News Network presents a program of forums for investors which allows students to hear CEOs and senior representatives of listed companies present their investment story.
Students sat in a 2 hour live CEO session that included Elanor Investors Group (ASX:ENN) – Glenn Willis CEO & MD (an investment and funds management business focused on generating strong absolute and risk-adjusted returns), Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX:ESI) – Ashley Moore MD (commercializing leading-edge coal and iron-making technologies, which are capable of delivering both financial and environmental benefits in India), Hub24 Limited (ASX:HUB) – Andrew Alcock MD (a financial services company which HUB24’s investment and superannuation platform offers a comprehensive range of investment options), Mesoblast Limited (ASX:MSB) – Prof. Silviu Itescu MD & CEO (a world leader in developing innovative cellular medicines), ResApp Health Limited (ASX:RAP) – Tony Keating MD & CEO (ResApp is developing digital healthcare solutions to assist doctors and empower patients to diagnose and manage respiratory disease) and Watpac Limited (ASX:WTP) – Martin Monro MD & CEO (Watpac is a leading national construction and civil and mining services company).
Students were invited to join CEO and other investors afterwards for an informal meet and greet session, with lunch and drinks provided. Irfan Rofique, a student in the Bachelor of Professional Accounting Program said “Professor Paul has given us a wonderful opportunity to learn real world accounting and finance – which is very complementary to the theoretical learning we receive in the classroom.
