Ms. Barbara Lawrence

Ms Barbara Lawrence is a consultant and service provider to the higher education sector in Australia in the areas of student management, university governance and compliance. Barbara is a non-practicing Lawyer registered with the Supreme Court of Queensland, a current member of the Queensland Law Society and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Barbara has held senior leadership and management positions in a number of Australian Universities as an administrator for a period of thirty years, fulfilling roles of Vice-President and Academic Registrar, Executive Director of Student Services/Student Administration and Head of Residential Accommodation. In addition, she has undertaken audits and reviews and provided consultancy services into universities in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. With a keen interest in governance, quality auditing compliance, dispute resolution, social justice and social inclusion, Barbara’s specialist areas are in higher education administration, policy and processes.
